Project 1: PPAR

Augmented Reality

This is using AR.JS an open-sourced AR project. The best way to describe the current experience is that it is similar to Pokemon Go (Please don't sure @nintendo). The symbols of the situation of the Malay Regiment(i.e. The burning fuel depot and Japanese army movement) is geogephical locked.

Just some interesting things to note:

1. I was only able to get it running with AR.JS studio, modifying the code.
2. AR.JS was locked to a 1km radius. For the sake of the project, I left the symbols in the general direction of Bukit Chandu. Thus, albeit inaccurate, the symbol would simulate the situation at the Battle of Pasir Panjang.
3. The basic premise of the app is that they will use your phone camera and GPS as a censor. They will place the objects at the location and if your camera points at the right direction, the object will appear.

It is relative easy to learn and programme as it is in simple HTML. I would estimate about 3-5 hours of learning curve and Youtube tutorial.
